Big boy bath

This week, Kyle made the transition to the big boy bath. He really seems to enjoy it and he hasn't cried or fussed about being in the bath - I think bath time is shaping up to be lots of fun.

Developing a double chin...

Kyle is fast developing a well rounded body... and a double chin! We are having so much fun with him. He is doing really well and is beginning to fall into a nice sudo-routine. He is making lots of cool noises and is getting really active - here are some new photos:

Kyle Cam

One of the challenges of having a baby on the other side of the world is that all our friends and family want to be able to see Kyle all the time and obviously arent able to.... enter Kyle cam! Kyle has been spending a lot of time on the web cam getting aquianted with his 'peeps' in the UK. Here is a couple of pictures of Kyle hanging with Uncle Scott.

What a bruiser!

Yesterday we went to the doctor so that Kyle could have a weigh-in. Apparently at 2 weeks old, the aim is that the baby will return to its birth weight. In Kyle's case, that means 8lb 10. Not being satisfied with just reaching birth weight Kyle decided that he would instead shoot way over that with 9lb 5! He is a big boy!

More active everyday

It has been neat to watch Kyle get more and more active each day. I cant believe that he is only 12 days old and is already so different from just a few days ago. He is having all kinds of fun playing on his activity mat, wrestling with 'spike' his dinosaur and generally wriggling about! Unfortunately he is also keen to do this at 3am, 4am, 5am... we are currently a little confused between day and night :o)

A big day of adventures

Kyle did brilliant today - 3 big adventures! This morning we went to buy some new threads at babies R us, this afternoon he went with mommy to the shops and this evening he went with Mum, Dad, Granny and Grandad to the Cheesecake factory for dinner! He is such a patient baby and he has been really good to us.

Kyle's first adventure

Kyle went on his first adventure today, and allowed Mum, Dad, Granny and Grandad to go out for breakfast. So far we have been amazed at what a wonderful temprament he has - I think he must take after his mother! :0)

We were so blessed to leave the hospital with a wonderfully healthy boy and 'mommy' on Wednesday. Being at home has been great and he has settled in nicely. It has been amazing to have my Mum and Dad here to help us get started - my mum has been on a mission cooking, washing, ironing and generally looking after us, I am so grateful to have her.

Here are a few new photos from the last couple of days

Our new baby boy

For those of you who havent heard yet, we are now the proud owners of a real live Texan baby boy! Kyle James Ross was born at 2.32am (Central US time) and weighed a whopping 8lb 10! Both Lynsey and baby are doing great after a marathon 21 hour labour. Lynsey did REALLY well - I am extremely proud of her.

He is a total blessing from God and we are amazed how we were provided for both during pregnancy and birth!

Here are some shots of the 'wee man' (aka the 'little guy')

There will be plenty more pictures coming this way.

d-day...

Well today is the official due date and the word of the day is... comfortable! Thus far baby Ross is quite happy where it is and doesnt seem to be in any rush to go places. We are off to the Doc this morning, so we will see how things are progressing and what the plan is. Mama to be is doing great, but would be quick happy to 'get this thing out'!

We will update as soon as we know anything ;)
