Almost 9 weeks

Kyle will be nine weeks on Monday and we can hardly believe how much he has changed! He is really interactive and lots of fun. Yesterday he giggled hard for the first time and gave himself a scare when he heard the noise :)

Kyle had his first trip to hang out by the pool this week - he also had a quick 'foot dip' with Daddy which was not quite as peaceful as the photos below!

Ever expanding Kyle!

Today Kyle had his weekly weigh in and true to form, he is continuing to expand at a great rate. This week he weighed 12lb 11, an 11oz gain since last week. Lynsey read today that if your baby is gaining more than 8oz a week, they are over eating - it would appear that Kyle is following the pattern of the other Ross/MacDonald boys! :)

It feels like there is a lot going on this week. He is really beginning to make progress on his head control, he almost rolled over and today, Mummy put him in his big boy bed for the first time.

The other major news in the Ross household is that we have booked our flights home to the motherland... for good. We are leaving the US on October 11th and going back to set up life in Scotland. It is going to be an incredibly bittersweet experience. We have loved our time here in Houston and we have learnt so much about ourselves, our faith and our marriage. We have met some incredible people and made some life long bonds... and we have had a lot of fun doing new and different things! Anyway... before I go on forever, we will stop there and come back to that another time.

What a wriggler!

Kyle has begun wriggling about in the middle of the night such that he moves down the cot as he sleeps. This morning we woke up at 6.15am and he had slid right down his sleep positioner and he was kicking the end of the cot and giggling - we giggled when we saw him and figured it was a pretty nice way to be woken up. Here are a couple of pictures - it might be hard to figure out what he had done.

Fun with Mummy
